Used Books

Crux carries a large selection of used theological books, obtained from a variety of quality sources. Our collection features 20th century theology, 20th century philosophy, particularly philosophy of religion, pastoral theology, biblical studies, history, and literature. We also have a small missions and world religion section. We have miscellanea of political, science and other books as well.

If you have requests for a particular title or an interest in an area of theology, please email your request to usedbooks@cruxbooks.com. We will keep your interests in mind as we acquire and catalogue titles.

All used and rare books are catalogued and can be searched by store staff. Our complete used inventory is not searchable online, but newer used books (those published after about 1970 with ISBNs) are included in the store inventory accessible through the "Find a Book" tab. We also have rare, out of print, or hard-to-find books listed on Biblo.com.

The large used book section of Crux Books is housed in Leonard Hall, above the store. For access to the collection, please ask at the front desk. Hours are restricted as Leonard Hall is used as a lecture hall and event space. If you wish to check whether access to the collection is possible during your visit, please call ahead. Our rare/hard-to-find/out-of-print section is located in the main store area, and is therefore accessible whenever the store is open.

We do occasionally purchase used books of interest to us for store credit only. Please contact us BEFORE bringing in books. It is most helpful if you email a list of the books you have to sell (include at least the author and title of each book) to usedbooks@cruxbooks.com.
